I apologise to anybody that regularly looks at this blog as it has been some time since I updated it. It has been that long that we have had two meetings a read one book in the mean time. Its about time that I let all you bloggers now what we have been up to.
Well lets begin back in May when Mr Beech chose to read Oscar Wilde's, A picture of Dorian Gray. The meeting was held in Mike's sunny back garden surrounded by his lovely rabbits running around enjoying themselves as much as we were. He put on a lovely spread and we immediately got down to business. Not forgetting that at this meeting we was introduced to a new member of the book club called Layla who is friends with Loli. (Welcome Layla)
Mike had prepared a lot of questions that were specific to the book we had read so that was a good start as recently we have had questions that arn't that specific which I feel can sometimes restrict the discussion. It was nice to see that everybody had managed to complete this book even if it was last minute such as myself. Again I have to apologise that as it has been so long since this meeting I feel that I cannot remember what was said. (Note to self; take notes at meetings!)
We all enjoyed this book however I personally felt that I would have enjoyed the book a lot more if it described more things that Dorian Gray did that made his portrait change and wither.
We had a live feed broadcast straight from Dartmouth as Sarah was on holiday at the time of the meeting but felt that she would like to view her opinions on the book. Overall a good book which scored 7/10
